J-1 Visa Connections?

Hello Workforce Advisory Group members,

MACHC recently got a question from a health center CEO who needs guidance regarding the J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program. This program allows "foreign physicians to participate in U.S. graduate medical education programs or training at accredited U.S. schools of medicine". See this link for more information: https://j1visa.state.gov/programs/physician


Has anyone used the J-1 Visa program to recruit a physician from another country? If so, can you share a contact who may be able to answer questions about the process?
