What's a Community Health Center or an FQHC?

Community Health Centers, commonly referred to as Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care, as well as behavioral and dental health services. FQHCs are open to everyone, regardless of a person's ability to pay, and utilize a sliding fee scale to ensure healthcare remains affordable for all. Centers offer integrated, high-quality care specifically designed to address the unique needs of underserved communities. Governed by a board of directors primarily made up of patients, FQHCs are uniquely positioned to address community needs and deliver exceptional care.
