Internships and Billing

Does anyone currently have students in their Mental/Behavioral Health Department, in which you allow them to do more than shadow and you bill for them?

Our Team has expressed that during their rotations as students, they had provided services that were being billed under the supervisor while they were not employees and only students, without licensure. We realize that it was not with an FQHC, and we are under different standards, but we do believe that it is an option for us as well, and we are trying to learn more information to see how this happens and what they do need for credentialing/privileging purposes - I am not in charge of the billing side, some of my team is working on the billing aspect of it, and I am in charge of the HR side of it - any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
