About the Event

Description:

This MOAB De-escalation basic course provides an in-depth curriculum on how to identify, prevent and manage aggressive behavior through various de-escalation techniques. Upon successful completion, participants are able to identify the stages of conflict, when an assault is imminent and what to do in a threatening situation.

**Limited space is available. This course will be repeated on two additional dates in August 2022 for anyone who is unable to register.***

Who Should Attend

Patient-facing Staff should be prioritized to attend. Senior staff and health leaders should not register for this basic training Instead, please see the more-extensive training description below.

Coming Soon! Train-the-Trainer Management of Aggressive Behavior (In-Person): 

This train-the-trainer program is designed for those who are looking to teach communication techniques and de-escalation skills and includes physical training skills (such as restraining, control tactics and self-defense tactics). Upon completion, 3-Day Instructors are able to train all of the basic MOAB certification programs.

**MACHC will seek center nominations from CEOs.**
