About the Event
Description:
MOAB training teaches attendees how to identify, prevent, and manage aggressive behavior through de-escalation techniques. Upon successful completion, participants will be able to identify stages of conflict, when an assault may be imminent, and how to respond to threatening situations.
**Limited space is available. This course will be repeated in person on August 9 and August 23 for anyone who is unable to register.**
Who Should Attend:
All center staff are welcome. Patient-facing staff with increased exposure to aggressive behavior are encouraged to attend.
Who Should Not Attend:
Each center CEO will identify one senior staff/health leader to attend a more-extensive 3-day train-the-trainer course (description below); the designated train-the-trainer from each center should NOT register for this basic training.
Coming Soon!Â
Train-the-Trainer Management of Aggressive Behavior (In-Person):Â
This train-the-trainer program is designed to teach communication techniques and de-escalation skills and includes physical training skills (such as restraining, control tactics, and self-defense tactics). Upon completion, 3-Day attendees are able to train colleagues on all basic MOAB certification programs.
**MACHC will seek center nominations from CEOs.**
