Clinical Supervisor

The Clinical Supervisor will be a self-motivated, results-oriented and compassionate professional, who isresponsible for managing the delivery of WCHC counseling services under the supervision of the BehavioralHealth Director (BH Director). The Clinical Supervisor will assist the BH Director in evaluating qualityoutcomes, clinical productivity and patient satisfaction feedback. The Clinical Supervisor may be called uponto act as a representative of the WCHC therapists at internal and external meetings. The Clinical Supervisorwill provide direct care to WCHC patients, evaluating psychosocial conditions, developing and implementingtreatment plans, and monitoring and evaluating treatment results. The Clinical Supervisor will providedirection for recruitment, onboarding, and clinical supervision for those in training seeking clinicalsupervision toward their therapy certification, such as Clinical Interns.

Key Functions & Responsibilities


Staff Leadership & Supervision

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new employees

  • Supervise licensed clinicians and clinical interns

  • Provide ongoing coaching, supervision, and performance management

  • Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins with staff

  • Complete and review annual performance evaluations

  • Address disciplinary actions and recommend commendations or terminations when appropriate


Operations & Team Management

  • Review and approve timecards, leave requests, and continuing education fund requests

  • Manage staffing coverage, including call-outs and scheduling gaps

  • Monitor clinician caseloads and productivity

  • Ensure services are scheduled appropriately within the electronic medical record system


Clinical Oversight

  • Ensure counseling services align with clinic protocols and professional ethical standards

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

  • Supervise clinical interns and ensure proper training and oversight

  • Monitor treatment plans to ensure services align with patient care goals

  • Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Director to support staff and program development


Patient Care & Advocacy

  • Advocate for both patients and clinical staff

  • Demonstrate compassion, emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, and professionalism

  • Promote a supportive and patient-centered care environment


Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system

  • Complete required reports, referrals, and program documentation

  • Support operational efficiency and quality service delivery


Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a mental health discipline required; LCSW-C preferred

  • Current unrestricted, independent professional license

  • Certification to provide clinical supervision for graduate social work students

  • Current CPR certification (AHA BLS Provider)

  • Compliance with continuing education requirements


Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in behavioral health (FQHC experience preferred)

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience

  • Public health or community/rural health center experience preferred

  • Spanish-speaking preferred

  • Ability to facilitate team meetings and lead clinical discussions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities

  • Flexibility in workdays and hours, including occasional weekends


Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • General office environment

  • Occasional travel required
