Description: Join the largest system of Community Health Centers in Maryland! Baltimore Medical System is searching for a time Family Practice Physician for its health center located in Baltimore City. Join a well trained group of primary care clinicians dedicated to providing high quality health services to underserved communities. Bi-lingual (English-Spanish Preferred). Great hours and closed all major holidays. Loan re-payment available. No hospital rounding and light call.
Qualifications: Board certification in Family Practice required. Experience in an ambulatory setting is preferred
Organization: For twenty-five years, Baltimore Medical System (BMS) has been providing primary and preventive health care to seriously disadvantaged communities in Baltimore. We are a 501 (c) (3) organization, with a volunteer community Board of Directors. We operate seven primary care health centers and six school health sites serving over 55,000 people annually, and providing 180,000 primary care and mental health visits and associated laboratory and pharmacy services. We also are an obstetrical and gynecological group that in 2008 delivered over 1,300 infants and performed over 500 surgical procedures. We are part of the national “safety net” of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), providing comprehensive care to all people regardless of their ability to pay. We have been accredited by the Joint Commission of Health Care Organizations as an Ambulatory Care Facility since 1987.
